During this event you'll have a chance to pick up the phone, write a text, email, or letter to say "thank you" to someone. Could be a friend, an author, a family member, teacher, who ever.
Research shows that when we express specific gratitude by acknowledging what someone did, the effort behind their actions, and how it meaningfully impacted us— we create powerful upward spirals of connection and trust.

We'll meet in front of the building (facing DoG street). You can pay to park at the Tavern for a few dollars, or part for free at the Bassett Trace nature trial (with a longer walk).
There will be printed instructions for you to work at your own pace. The instructions will be shared via email prior to the event as well.
This is an opportunity to get some quiet time away from your phone, emails, TV, and conversation. You can walk where you like and stay for as long as you like. You're welcome to come with a friend, but please do keep conversation to a minimum during the 3 hours. The skills we are practicing in this event are silence, rest, "boredom," and mindfulness.
